Thomas Heppell is fast becoming one of the most exciting names in the UK blues scene. He is an electrifying guitarist, soulful vocalist, and sharp songwriter and his live shows are a potent mix of blues, rock, and swing, delivered with technical flair and a wicked sense of groove. Following the triumphant release of his critically praised debut album, Thomas is back in the studio working on a powerful new EP paying tribute to the legendary Robert Johnson.

Step into a world of magic, mischief, and memory as the MHO brings timeless tales to life. Humperdinck’s glorious Hansel and Gretel Overture opens the evening in true Brothers Grimm style, full of wonder — and a hint of adventure. Ravel’s shimmering Mother Goose Suite whisks us into a land of sleeping princesses and enchanted gardens, before Grainger’s jaunty Children’s March sets off on a carefree journey “over the hills and far away.” The evening closes with Prokofiev’s poignant 7th Symphony.

A rising star on the UK blues scene, Elsie Franklin brings an enchanting blend of acoustic country blues, ragtime and jazz played on her trusty National resonator. Elsie is joined by the effortlessly cool Francesca Shaw on double bass. Shaw and Franklin have been getting audiences moving all over the country, don't miss them!

At the heart of Tipitina are powerhouse singer Debbie Jones with her roots in gospel, and Justin Randall- quite simply the finest and most exciting New Orleans-style piano player outside of Louisiana. The great Irma Thomas said of Debbie Jones, ‘She has a lot of soul in her voice.’ Together, Debbie and Justin deliver the red hot and rocking music of Dr John, James Booker, Professor Longhair and Fats Domino.

Dariush Kanani has established himself as one the finest fingerstyle guitarists of his generation. Captivated from a young age by the playing of Bert Jansch, Davy Graham and John Renbourn, Dariush has performed, studied and taught with some of the most influential figures in fingerstyle guitar.

Three times UK Blues Award Winner, Number 1 recording artist, CRA Award Nominated radio presenter, and Take Me To The River All Star - Oli “Mississippi” MacDonald from London makes music with real gravitas. 'Mac' is a rising star, having been honoured with a session by Cerys Matthews on her BBC Radio 2 Blues show, championed by Mojo Magazine, and given 3 UK Blues Awards. Both his fellow musicians and many music industry pundits predict big things for MacDonald.
