Creativities available in Harborough

Busk!

Creative Harborough aims to make it easy for people to access creativity in our town, whether as performers or spectators.

We are therefore particularly proud of our Busk! Project.  With the support of Market Harborough and The Bowdens Charity, we have set up a spot in the Undercroft, under the Old Grammar School in the middle of town, that welcomes buskers.

Busking is defined as “music, dance, street theatre, performance or art offered live within designated areas in the town to entertain, interact with members of the public, and receive voluntary contributions."

Whether you are an individual performer, part of a group, band, orchestra, or choir, or a spoken word artist, Undercroft offers the perfect performance space. You have access to a space, power, and PPL PRS licensing is covered; all you need to do is join our network and bring your creativity!

If you wish to entertain/busk in the Undercroft, you will need to return a completed application form and confirmation that you agree to our code of conduct to Joe@creativeharborough.org. He will then contact you to book you in:

Please note: this initiative differs from applying for a festival or large-scale event. To apply for an event in the market hall or square, please click through to the Council website here and follow the instructions: Event application/notification form.

Whether you are an individual performer, part of a group, band, orchestra, or choir, or a spoken word artist, we have the perfect performance space for you, thanks to an exciting new project supported by Market Harborough and The Bowdens Charity.

Please note: All buskers must read and follow our Code of Conduct. Failure to comply may result in losing the right to perform in the future.
