BabyGigs creates high quality live musical opportunities for 0 to 7s and their adults.
Initially established in Market Harborough, but now encompassing Leicestershire and beyond, BabyGigs are designed specifically for babies, young children and their families. Our concerts provide the chance to hear live music performed in relaxed surroundings. Children are free to sing, dance and move about as they listen and afterwards they can meet the players.
All our musicians are leading professionals in their field with years of experience in presenting music to this age group. Repertoire ranges from classical to jazz and pop and the players use storytelling, props and games to engage the audience with the music. Our concerts feature a huge range of instruments such as violin, clarinet, saxophone, voice, recorders, viola, trombone, bass trombone, guitar, piano, bass clarinet, flute, cello, oboe, harp, tabla, percussion......and parents and children love the fact they can see the musicians up close.
BabyGigs extends into nurseries and schools with early years sessions, short concerts and workshops and aims to inspire a lifelong love of musical creativity. We have a successful track record of partnering with organisations such as Culture Leicestershire and Leicestershire Libraries to deliver bespoke community projects.
