An Important Update to Manage Events

We’ve made a small but important update to the Manage Events page, and it’s one that came directly from our members. Several of you have asked for a simpler way to enter your event listings to reduce the risk of small mistakes or typos creeping in, and we’re really pleased to have made that change.
The update: Your essential yet standard group information is now automatically filled in when you open the Manage Events page.
What you need to do now:
To get started, there’s just one quick step you need to take. You’ll only need to do this once, and it will save you time when entering all future events:
Make sure your Directory Entry is complete
(Your Directory entry can be accessed via the menu bar above.)
The details you enter in your Directory Entry will appear on all your events. It's that simple.
What's more, completing your Directory Entry will bring several benefits:
It reduces small mistakes and typos in your published events on the Events page
The autofill function saves you time every time you enter an event
This avoids repetition when site visitors search for you in the organisation search list
When we promote activities and categories on social media, we’ll link directly to the Directory, making it easy for people to find you - but only if you are in the Directory
Of course, with a valid Directory Entry, you are also in with a chance of being featured in an article on the Blog page - but only if you let us know you'd like to be allocated a slot.
You will only be included in the Creative Harborough newsletters if we have your details in the directory.
Most importantly, it leaves you free to focus on the enjoyable bit: telling people what your event is about and why they should come along.

Once your Directory entry is complete, simply head back to the Manage Events page, discover how autofill has become your assistant, and start adding your events.
